A tradesperson’s profile is where you decide whether they’re right for your job. Here’s how to read one.
What’s on a profile
Section titled “What’s on a profile”- Cover photo and profile picture / logo.
- Business name and trade(s) — who they are and what they do.
- Location and their phone number.
- Verified tick — if present, BizzyDay has verified the business.
- About — a description of the business in their own words.
- Qualifications & accreditations — relevant trade credentials (for example, City & Guilds or Gas Safe).
- Verified Reviews — a link out to their reviews (see Checking reviews).
- Contact buttons — Call, Email and Website to get in touch directly.
- A month availability calendar — see The availability calendar below.
The blue verified tick
Section titled “The blue verified tick”A blue tick means BizzyDay has verified that the business is genuine. It’s a trust signal — it tells you the business is who it says it is. Not every good tradesperson has one yet, so treat it as a helpful bonus rather than a dealbreaker.
The availability calendar
Section titled “The availability calendar”On a full profile you see a whole-month calendar (rather than the seven-day circles on the search result cards). Each day is split into a morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) cell, colour-coded:
- Busy (red) — not available.
- Available (white) — free to take work.
- Past (grey) — days that have already gone.
Use the arrows to look ahead month by month. A Busy until [date] pill summarises when they’re next free. For the full explanation of how availability works, see Understanding availability.
Checking reviews
Section titled “Checking reviews”BizzyDay itself doesn’t host star ratings or testimonials. Instead, a profile’s Verified Reviews section links out to an independent, moderated review platform — such as Google Reviews, Checkatrade or Trustatrader — where reviews are collected and checked by that trusted service. Which one you see depends on where that tradesperson collects their reviews. This keeps things honest: you’re reading genuine reviews on a platform built for exactly that, rather than ratings that could be gamed.
What to look for before you commit
Section titled “What to look for before you commit”- Does their availability match your dates?
- Are they a sensible distance away for the size of job?
- Do their reviews (via the linked sites) look solid and relevant to your kind of work?
- Are they verified?
