Got several jobs in a day? The route optimiser works out the smartest order to do them in, so you spend less time driving and more time earning.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”Give it the jobs you’ve got on, and it plans an efficient route between them — minimising the miles and the back-and-forth. Less time in the van means:
- Lower fuel costs.
- More jobs fit into a day.
- Fewer wasted miles criss-crossing your area.
Using it
Section titled “Using it”- Make sure your jobs for the day have addresses.
- Open the route optimiser.
- Review the suggested order and set off.
An example day
Section titled “An example day”Say you’ve got four jobs booked: a repair in the north of town, two in the south, and one out east. Done in the order they came in, you’d criss-cross town all morning. The route optimiser reorders them into a sensible loop — north, east, then the two southern jobs together — so you’re not doubling back. On a busy day that can easily save an hour of driving and a chunk of fuel, which is often the difference between squeezing in one more job or not.
Why the order matters
Section titled “Why the order matters”- Fuel is a real cost. Every unnecessary mile comes straight off your profit on the day.
- Time is money. Hours spent driving are hours you’re not earning — a tighter route frees up capacity.
- Less wear and tear. Fewer miles is easier on the van, too.
- A calmer day. A planned run beats hopping back and forth across your patch on the fly.
