A quick reference to the words used across BizzyDay and this help centre.
Availability calendar — the colour-coded calendar showing when a tradesperson is free, busy, on holiday or not working. Supports AM/PM half-days.
AM/PM precision — the ability to mark a morning and afternoon separately, so half a day can be available while the other half is booked.
Credit note — a document that reduces or reverses an invoice, used to correct or refund without deleting the original.
Featured — an optional add-on that boosts a profile up the search results in a chosen postcode district.
Job — a confirmed piece of work in BizzyDay that sits on your calendar and flows into invoicing and finances.
OCR — “optical character recognition”; the Pro AI feature that reads the text on a photographed receipt.
Pre-quote visit — a site visit booked before quoting, so a bigger job can be priced accurately.
Pro AI — the higher subscription plan that adds AI-powered tools on top of Standard.
Quote — a priced estimate sent to a customer before work starts.
Statutory late-payment interest — interest UK businesses are legally entitled to charge on overdue commercial invoices; used by AI debt chasing where appropriate.
Trade — the type of work a tradesperson does (electrician, plumber, roofer, etc.); used to match customer searches.
Unclaimed listing — a business imported from Companies House that hasn’t joined BizzyDay yet, and can be claimed by its owner.
Verified / blue tick — a trust badge shown when BizzyDay has confirmed a business is genuine.
VAT — Value Added Tax; if you’re registered, BizzyDay applies it correctly on quotes and invoices.
Voice-to-Pre-Quote — a Pro AI feature that books a pre-quote visit from you dictating it.
Voice-to-Quote — a Pro AI feature that drafts a quote from you speaking the job aloud.
