Pre-quote visits
For anything bigger than a small job, you often need to see it before you can price it. BizzyDay lets you schedule pre-quote visits — site visits booked in before you send a quote.

What a pre-quote visit is
Section titled “What a pre-quote visit is”It’s an appointment to go and look at a job so you can quote accurately — measuring up, checking access, spotting the things that change the price. Keeping these in BizzyDay means they sit on your calendar alongside your actual jobs, so nothing gets forgotten and nothing gets double-booked. Each visit gets its own PQ reference number so it’s easy to track.
Scheduling one
Section titled “Scheduling one”- Open Pre-Quote Visits and add a new one.
- Pick the visit date and whether it’s AM or PM (with an optional approximate time).
- Give it a title (e.g. “Extension quote visit”) and the contact name, optional business name, and address.
- Choose whether the customer is B2C (private) or B2B (business).
- Save — the visit appears on your calendar.
Dictate it instead: Voice-to-Pre-Quote
Section titled “Dictate it instead: Voice-to-Pre-Quote”On Pro AI you can skip the form entirely. Tap Voice Pre-Quote on the Pre-Quote Visits screen and just say the visit — “Extension quote visit for Sarah Willis at 14 Mill Lane, Guildford, next Tuesday morning”. BizzyDay transcribes what you said and fills in the New Pre-Quote Visit form for you: the title, contact and business name, address, phone and email, and the date and time — it even understands plain-English dates like “tomorrow” or “next Tuesday”, and works out AM or PM from what you say.
You always get the filled-in form back to review before anything is saved — check it, tweak anything, and save as normal. It works just like Voice-to-Quote, but for booking the visit rather than drafting the quote.
Tracking a visit’s status
Section titled “Tracking a visit’s status”Each visit has a status so you always know where it stands:
- Scheduled — booked in and coming up.
- Completed — you’ve been and seen the job.
- Converted to Quote — you’ve turned it into a quote.
- Cancelled — it’s no longer happening.
From visit to quote
Section titled “From visit to quote”After the visit, turn what you saw into a quote while it’s fresh — the visit’s status then moves to Converted to Quote. On Pro AI, Voice-to-Quote is perfect here — talk through the job on your way back to the van and let BizzyDay draft the quote for you.
Why bother tracking them?
Section titled “Why bother tracking them?”- Accurate pricing. Seeing the job first means fewer nasty surprises for you and the customer.
- No clashes. Visits share your calendar, so they won’t collide with jobs.
- A professional impression. Turning up when you said you would, then following up with a tidy quote, wins work.
